Red Velvet Milkshake
Red Velvet Milkshake made with real red velvet cake. Imagine rich vanilla ice cream paired with delectable red velvet cake, swirled with cream cheese frosting and topped with whipped cream…
You can make RED VELVET MILKSHAKES with real red velvet cake! Yes! They are so good, you guys just need to trust me! All you need is a good heavy duty blender.
These red velvet milkshakes are the real deal, totally authentic.. Why you ask? It is because they have been swirled with cream cheese frosting..
Red Velvet Milkshake
Ingredients
- 2 cups of leftover red velvet cake without the frosting (spare some crumbs to sprinkle on the top)
- 1.5L vanilla ice cream
- 250ml milk (I used low fat)
- 2 teaspoons pure cocoa powder
- 2 heaped tablespoons cream cheese
- 1 heaped tablespoon sifted icing sugar
- 100ml chilled whipping cream
- ½ teaspoon vanilla essence
- 1 tablespoon white granulated sugar
A - Red Velvet Milkshake
B - Cream Cheese Swirl
C - Whipped Cream
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients of part A in your heavy duty blender and blend until well mixed and all the red velvet cake has been blended finely.
- Mix your cream cheese & sifted icing sugar (B) with a whisk and pour into a piping bag.
- Whip your cream and other ingredients (C) until stiff peaks form.
- Pour (A) into your glasses (I used mason jars),
- Pipe some of the cream cheese swirl (B) directly into the milkshake (A)
- Top with the whipped cream (C)
- Decorate with crumbed red velvet cake crumbs & use cute straws to drink from!
- ENJOY!
Now
Here in Spain the kids have re-started school so life will soon be back to normal but oh how I´m going to miss those two of mine. I always struggle the first few days when they go back with empty house syndrome.. Anyone relate?
Happy week guys!

Um, cake IN a milkshake? I like the way your mind works! Why have cake with ice cream on the side when you could have them both blended up together in a cup??
