MEXICAN FISH BURGER!
Ok so you like Mexican food (tick) and you like fish (tick) AND Oh those yummy fish tacos (tick – I made black bean & mango salsa fish tacos the other day and they were so good – I promise to share that recipe here soon!) THEN you´ve come to the right place my friend because this MEXICAN FISH BURGER recipe is simply amazing!
Lately I´ve been experimenting with fish. I want to try new recipes with fish because we hardly eat it in our home. Why might you ask? Well the reason is that I don´t really have many fish recipes that I like and furthermore I don´t really know how to cook fish. I´m in the experimenting phase..
Yes I know it´s healthy (some types more than others) and that´s why I want to incorporate it into our diets more often. However it´s important that I do so in a tasty manner because I´m not one for recipes that don´t taske like much.. I need FLAVOUR!
That´s the reason why I´m seriously considering to sign-up for the Secrets to Cooking Fish by Chef Joel Gamoran at Craftsy. In the course he talks about the eight essential techniques when cooking with fish. The part I´m really excited to learn about is shopping for fish because in this recipe I used frozen pieces of hake from the supermarket (which is absolutely fine if you´re stressed for time – welcome to my life!) but I really want to make sure I maximise the health benefits that fish has to offer..
Then the last lesson where he speaks about curing & smoking now that looks super interesting because I love anything smoked! Food that is 🙂
Ingredients
- 4 Ciabatta rolls or good quality burger buns with seeds on top, *toasted

Instructions
- Add your fish to a shallow rectangle dish.
- Add the spice rub to both sides of the fish.

I love me some Crafty food classes! I picked up a couple back when they were having a Black Friday sale last year…granted, I still haven’t gotten around to watching them yet. But I will! Crafty’s bread class with Peter Reinhart is seriously one of the best classes ever! I love the idea of using fish to create a burger. Super unique, and perfect for the summer! Looks delicious, Johlene! 🙂
Me too David! Wish I had more time to take more of them. Where can we find more time? Seriously! I just can´t imagine managing mine any better than I´m currently doing.. I´m literally down to using every second on the clock!
