Route 1: Metro Line 10 – Dark Blue Line
These are places you can visit without changing metro lines. Go from Plaza de España to Nuevo Ministerios and stop on the way to enjoy all these coffee shops and hotels.
Hotel Riu Plaza de España
A 4-star hotel with modern design and breathtaking 360° rooftop views, located in the iconic Plaza de España.

La Navideña en Plaza de España Christmas Market
From 23 November 2024 to 6 January 2025. Open Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 22:00, and on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00. This market features 40 craft and product stalls, as well as food stalls like San Ginés, famous for churros & chocolate. Enjoy a 450m² ice rink with real ice and plenty of entertainment. There’s also an Alpine restaurant, which is run by reservations only.
Metro Stop: Plaza de España (lines 3, 6 & 10)
Aux Merveilleux de Fred
This artisan French patisserie specializes in traditional Flanders treats, including their signature Merveilleux—light meringue desserts with whipped cream made in tons of different flavors. Guests can watch bakers craft these delicacies on-site.
Metro Stop: Tribunal (Lines 1 and 10) or Alonso Martínez (lines 4, 5 & 10).

Nuevos Ministerios Christmas Market
It will open from November 16 to January 5, 2025. From Monday to Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00. The best Christmas market in Madrid to get food. The food is prepared by renowned chefs, with many gourmet food trucks and stalls. You can even buy quality ornaments and send a letter to Santa here!
Metro Stop: Nuevos Ministerios (lines 6, 8 & 10)
