Banana Chocolate Peanut Butter Popsicles
How to make your own popsicles with banana, chocolate and peanut butter. So Yummy! I love popsicles, they are easy to grab from the freezer on a hot day and always hits the spot 🙂
What makes these popsicles different? They are made with banana and they are perfect for a snack, at any time during the day.. or even as a healthy summer dessert 🙂 All the ingredients used have healthy benefits 🙂
I used my Ikea popsicle mold but instead of using the plastic holders/handles that come with it, I used wooden popsicle sticks instead and they worked perfectly. I simply popped them in the middle of the filled mold and they stayed in place 🙂
You guys will love the healthy ingredients in this recipe 🙂 Moms this recipe is perfect for you too and this is definitely something I´ll give my children 🙂 They can even make it with you 🙂
Ingredients
- (makes 5 Ikea or 3 general type popsicle molds)
- 2 ripe bananas cut & frozen (tip: do it the previous night in a ziplock bag)
- 2 heaped tablespoons of smooth peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons of honey (heated up in the microwave to ensure it´s liquid)
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1 & ½ tablespoons of milk (I used low fat)
- 100g dark chocolate

Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients until smooth in a stand liquidiser, fill your molds and pop the wooden popsicle sticks into the middle of each. Leave to freeze overnight in the freezer.
- Melt your chocolate and cover each popsicle with it to your liking.. freeze again until the chocolate is set.. ENJOY!!
As I mentioned in the recipe you can add as much chocolate as you want and also there are many ways that you could decorate your popsicles with the melted chocolate.. (see photo below for some ideas..)
I hope I inspired you guys to make homemade popsicles this summer and I´m pretty sure I´ll be sharing more popsicle recipes with you 🙂
