In this post I share with you various charts on how to convert all your measurements and oven temperatures in baking.
Flours/Other Dry Ingredients
- All Purpose Flour (unsifted): 1 cup = 4.5 ounces = 128 grams
- Cake Flour/Cornstarch (unsifted): 1 cup = 4 ounces = 110 grams
- Cocoa Powder: 1 cup = 3.25 ounces = 91 grams
Sugars
- White Granulated Sugar: 1 cup = 7 ounces = 200 grams
- Brown Sugar (Light or Dark): 1 cup = 7 ounces = 200 grams
- Icing/Confectioners Sugar: 1 cup = 4 ounces = 110 grams
Dairy
- Milk/Cream: 1 cup = 250ml = 8.5 fl. ounces = 230 grams
- Butter: 1 cup (2 sticks) = 8 ounces = 227 grams
Other Liquids
- Water: 1 cup (liquid measure) = 8.2 ounces = 230 grams
- Corn/Glucose Syrup/Honey: 1 cup (liquid measure) = 10.9 ounces = 310 grams
- Oil: 1 cup (liquid measure) = 7 ounces = 200 grams
Dry Measurements
- 3 teaspoons = 1 Tablespoon = 1/2 ounce = 14 grams
- 4 tablespoons = 2 ounces = 1/4 cup = 56 grams
- 32 tablespoons = 2 cups = 16 ounces = 1 pounds
Top tip: use your kitchen scale to measure your ingredients because by using it you will eliminate imprecise measurement! If you don´t have a kitchen scale you can use cup measurements, just make sure that it is 100% level!
