Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet Smores
A Chocolate Chip Cookie baked in a Skillet, then topped with chocolate fudge sauce and toasted marshmallows. That´s how you make your own Smores cookie skillet..
Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillets = L O V E
I´ve been in love with chocolate chip cookie skillets since I had my first one at Tony Roma´s. I knew from then on I wanted to try to make it myself. So the search for the perfect skillet cookie commenced *smile* and I´m glad to say that I have found it! *happy dance time*.
Once again Martha you have saved the day!

You gotta be crazy not to love this!
You really can´t go wrong with this Smores Cookie Skilet. Seriously!
I mean who doesn´t love gooeye chocolate chip cookie, smothered with homemade chocolate fudge sauce and topped with toasted marshmallows? Who? I can´t think of anyone and if that´s you, please don´t tell me!! *smile*
Ingredients
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet
- Adapted from the recipe by Martha Stewart
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/3 cup packed dark-brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- Adapted from the recipe by Katie and the Kitchen Door
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 tablespoons chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- White Marshmallows
Instructions
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet
- Preheat oven to 350ºF / 175ºC.
- In a large bowl, combine butter and sugars with a wooden spoon.
- Stir in egg and vanilla.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chips.
- Transfer to a 10-inch cast-iron skillet; smooth top.
- Bake until cookie is golden brown and just set in the center, 18 to 20 minutes.
- Let cool 5 minutes.
- Place butter on bottom of small microwaveable dish.
- Top with the chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high for 10 seconds, then remove, and stir until texture is even.
- Add heavy cream and stir.
- Microwave on high for another 10 seconds, then remove and stir until smooth.
- Pour over the skillet cookie as soon as it comes out of the oven.
- Top with the marshmallows and grill under the broiler / top grill of your oven. Check it closely because they turn brown very quickly.

Fast and Easy!
I was amazed at how easy this recipe actually was. Something that taste so good surely takes alot of time and effort, doesn´t it? No! Not so!
- I only used 1 bowl to mix the cookie batter!
- The chocolate fudge sauce was made in the microwave under a minute!
- I used pre-made marshmallows, cut them in half and toasted them under the broiler faster than you know!

Did you see the background board on the images? Remember my recent post where I show you How to make your own DIY background boards for your food photography? These boards were made at that time! I love the richness of the color on the photos..
I wish I had more time to post these days. My two have just finished their school holidays and I can already find myself feeling torn in so many directions at once! Any tips for time management for a Blogger Mom? Help!
Until next time guys and thanks so much for coming back time after time!

Thanks Jess! You could use Italian Meringue instead of the marshmallow topping too but I think this is more authentic 🙂
