What I wore in Portugal | Family Travel Outfit Inspiration
Whenever we go on a trip I plan our outfits weeks in advance. I look at the items we already have in our closets, decide on a colour scheme (which these days is mainly all shades of pink, pastel blues, denims, naturals and whites) and then make a list of the items I would like to buy. I make sure that we have at least one outfit for each day plus a spare and I always pack layers, just in case the weather decides to play havoc with us. Which it did btw in Portugal… we had very VERY little sunlight (urgh!)
I also love dressing my boys in matching outfits and our recent trip to the Algarve region in Portugal provided me with the perfect opportunity 😉
In the post below, I have included a few looks that I wore in Portugal. Let me know in the comments which is your favourite!
Flower Power
One of those easy to throw-on outfits and one that I go back to time and time again. A short floral summer´s dress matched with a denim jacket for those crisp Spring mornings, pink sneakers and a cute pair of pink sunnies.
Also, how cute is this pink bike we found next to the road?! I made hubby do a u-turn so that I could take this photo for you guys 🙂
Cuba Boys!
I just adore this look of my hubby and 8 year old son, Luca. Cargo shorts with matching short sleeved buttoned up shirts, straw hats and trainers.
It did take some convincing but once they saw the photos they loved it 🙂
Far Far Away in Faroooo!
In this photo I kinda matched them again… I love this blue & white shirt of Luca from H&M because you can wear the sleeves down or roled-up because there is a button and strap that keeps it secure. It´s a great, breathable fabric too!
Their ripped jeans look super fashionable and I don´t know if you guys agree but kids in ripped jeans are just too adorable! This photo was taken in front of the super photographable sign in Faro, the capital of the Algarve region in Portugal.
Sintra Chic
Ok I couldn´t think of a better heading for this look but Sintra (if you´ve never been there) is super chic and magical and all good things!
I love pairing blazers with jeans, especially my super comfy jeggings from M&S which are superb quality btw. This pink blazer from H&M is perfect for this time of year. It´s lightweight and the perfect shade of pink (in my opinion) and has rouched-up sleeves, which I loooove. I bought it last year so unfortunately I couldn´t find it on their site but linked a similar one from Topshop for you guys.
Candy Striped Cuteness
This dress s from C&A but for some reason, even though I bought it just the other day, I can´t find it on their site. I´ve linked a similar one for you guys from H&M.
The main idea is to pair a maxi floral dress with a straw hat, so you can basically take any dress you already have, buy this cute straw hat from H&M and you have a very similar outfit 🙂
* Quick disclaimer, some of the products in the widgets are not the exact same but I´ve tried my best to source very similar items for you guys.
Thanks for stopping by and please let me know in the comments what your favourite looks are in this post.
Ciao!
