Soccer Birthday Party
I did this soccer themed birthday part for my 4 year old son because he adores soccer! Read further to see how you can do it yourself!
This past Saturday I had my 4 year old son, Luca´s birthday party to plan and host.. as you already guest it was a Soccer themed party because he absolutely adores soccer 🙂 Todays recipe will be these cute Popcorn Balls I made to match the theme of the party.. sticky toffee syrup was used to make these balls..
Herewith some full view shots of the table.. to be honest I think the table and all its goodies (even though delicious) pales in comparison to the nature in the background.. truth be told when it rains in Gran Canaria, there is nothing more beautiful than the countryside..
I also made Chocolate, Oreo and Peanut Butter Brownies drizzled with melted white and dark chocolate and sprinkled with more pieces of Oreo and mini Smarties 🙂 These were devine!
Then these giant American Style cookies I made with mini Smarties, if you would like a recipe of these please click here because I made them recently with red chocolate chips.
Above: Fried doughnuts (donuts) topped with 3 different toppings: 1. dark chocolate sprinkles 2. lime and coconut and then 3. white chocolate coloured green and drizzled with more dark chocolate.. Yummyyyyy!
Then these super cute ice cream cone Cake Pops.. covered with light green coloured chocolate, topped with dark chocolate, sprinkles and a cute little red smarties to finish the look 🙂 I think I might be doing a tutorial of these very soon as they are so easy and super cute for any birthday party!
Also these brown sugar vanilla cupcakes topped with cream cheese frosting.. drizzled with melted chocolate and some colourful sprinkles.. and these adorable soccer flags we made 🙂
The cupcakes already started to melt in this photo, that´s what happens when you host an outdoor party.. we had a few disasters on the day but it didn´t spoil our fun, the older I get the more determent I´m to enjoy the time with my kids and not worry about the things I dont have any control over 🙂
Last but not least these cute cone party packs filled with sweets/candy for each little guest to take home! I got these cone shaped free printables online that read “Soccer Party 2010” (designed by a South African company for the 2010 World Cup Soccer).. best part.. Luca was born that year..).

This is the recipe above to make the Popcorn Balls.. very easy, very sticky but oh so tasty!!
and the Winner is..
.. in my heart he will always be even if he didn´t score the most goals..! Happy Birthday Luca!
By the way, did you guys see the “mini soccer field” cake I made because he really wanted it.. The idea was to make it bigger but transporting the cake would have been a problem so we opted for a smaller version and decorated with some cute soccer candles, soccer goal posts and playmobil soccer players 🙂 So easy but effective!!
Hope you guys liked this post, see you all back here very soon!

Besitos y feliz semana! xoxo
