GREEN SMOOTHIE FOR BEGINNERS
If you’re new to making green smoothies, this one’s for you! Mild and delicious, a full head of romaine lettuce is hidden inside. With even more nutritional value than kale, romaine packs high levels of folic acid, which has been shown to battle depression and boost reproductive health. Not a bad way to get started with green smoothies, eh?
This Cranberry Apple Avocado Green Smoothie is a combination of the tartness of the cranberries on one side, and the smooth crispness of the avocado apple on the other. Served in a shot glass for a quick fix, for those days when you don´t have much time, but your body still needs healthy nourishment.

I love adding cranberries to my smoothies simply because the flavoring helps me drink it. I’m picky about my smoothie flavors. I love this one! Thanks for linking up with Delicious Dishes Recipe Party!
Thanks Liz, I love the flavour it adds to the smoothie too.
It takes away the “wild” taste that you sometimes get in green smoothies. Pineapple works really well for this too 🙂
I was absolutely loving a green smoothie every day, until my doctor told me to stop. My body produces calcium kidney stones, and the leafy greens are high in oxalates which contribute to the formation of calcium oxalate kidney stones. I really miss them, as they were a great help for my weight loss.
Ah so sorry to hear that Liz. That´s sounds awful! I hope you were able to replace them with something just as good..?
Oh yay!! So excited the green smoothie cookbook is out! Can’t wait to check it out and get my great green slurp on! Woot! Loving your smoothie, Johlene! Talk about tons of delicious flavor and the colors are gorgeous! No qualms about eating my greens in that smoothie combo form! Cheers, my dear!
Ah thanks girl! You´re always so SWEET!! Have a superrrrr week 🙂
