Chocolate French Toast with Peanut Butter
Let´s face it guys, how can you go wrong with chocolate french toast smothered with peanut butter and chocolate spread..?
You just can´t! YUM Yum Yum!
To make these you basically dip bread smothered with peanut butter and chocolate spread into a chocolate egg mix and cook them golden brown in a skillet on the stove top…
And if I have to go by the um´s and a´s from hubby while he was gobbling them up, I´d say he really liked them! I´m definitely going to make this recipe again and again. For special occasions, that is, because I don´t want to know how I would look if I ate this for breakfast on a regular basis 😉
If I could find these Reese´s Peanut Butter Cup Miniatures or these Reese´s Pieces here in Spain where we live, I would have definitely used them too (especially for decoration on top) but I didn´t and if you don´t either, don´t worry, because without them this chocolate peanut butter french toast is perfectly fine too!
Who else is glad that Summer has arrived? We finally went to the beach for the first time this year last Friday and had such a good time! If you folllowed me (or if you follow me) on Snapchat @ Johlene_FlavoursandFrosting you would have seen me showing the beach we went to called Anfi del Mar. Anfi is one of my most favourite beaches here in Gran Canaria, and is owned by David Silva, one of the Manchester City football/soccer players who is originally from here.
It’s a beautiful beach (with a little port) and the perfect place to get your tan on. Something I desperately need! One of my favourite memories here, is of my son Luca, when he was just one year old, playing in his tiny one piece swimming suit on the sand with his little bucket and spade. Oh man why did he have to grow up so fast?? Oh and I also love the Anfi Beach Club – the perfect place to sip your favourite cocktail (mine would be mojito) and relax… Now that´s what I call Summer!
I can´t wait for lazy Summer mornings to make more of these type of French Toast recipes… I definitely want to try one with berries the next time.
I´m obsessed with frozen berries these days and eat them by the dozens. Seriously they are so good and super refreshing. We buy ours here in Lidl, a German supermarket, and if I had a bigger freezer I would buy 10 packs at a time. LOL

Holy cow! This looks like an incredibly awesome (and decadent) breakfast. I was staring at that photo going…wait, that’s French toast? I love it! Perfectly styled, too! So David Silva is from Gran Canaria? I know him from watching lots of soccer/football (yay, Euro 2016). Sounds like you guys are certainly enjoying the summer so far! But you don’t have Reese’s cups over there? Oh, the tragedy…
Johlene Orton says
Yesss! Now you can make it for your & the wife on those mornings when the grandparents babysit Robbie and you guys have a lie in 🙂 🙂
