A mouthwatering Fall Recipe made with tangy green apples, creamy cream cheese, rich caramel sauce and layers of fluffy sponge cake… need I say more..?
Hello all! Today I have an exciting new recipe post for you- the oh-so-delicious Apple Caramel Cream Cheese Cake. As you can tell from the name, it’s sure to be a big hit! Whether you need a dessert to take to an event this fall, or if it’s just for your family at home, this one will quickly become a favorite to all those lucky enough to enjoy it.
Apple and caramel together make the best combination. They just go together, like peanut butter and jelly. What better way to enjoy them than with a super moist cake baked with delicious cream cheese?
Another great thing about this cake is that it gives you a reason to get out to your local apple orchard and get picking! It’s a fun, educational trip, and at many, you even get to take a hay ride pulled by a tractor out into the orchard to see the trees and pick the apples for yourself. Of course, if you’re not up for this or don’t have the time, no worries, there is usually a market type store up front where you can just pick up the locally grown apples of your choice, ready to buy right there.
Ingredients
- 3 layers fluffy Sponge Cake
- 0.33 cup Homemade Caramel Sauce. Just omit the salt in this recipe.
- 1 tub rich cream cheese
- 2 cups apple pie filling
- 2 to 3 large apples cut in wedges (I used Granny Smith)
Instructions
- Start with one layer topping it with a mixture of cream cheese and caramel sauce.
- Top with apple pie filling
- Drizzle with more Caramel Sauce
- Repeat until all the layers are finish
- Note: Don´t add the apple filling to the very top layer because this is where you´ll add the sliced apple wedges.
- Drizzle the top with more of the delicious caramel!
Until next time guys! Happy apple dessert making!
