Fall Fashion Trends 2017 are leaning towards reds, fake furs, tassles, mid-length skirts, wide belts and florals…
According to sources (who else thought of a song when they read that?! 10 Points if you can name that song in the comments!) and by sources, I mean Elle, the items I´ve listed below are some of the favourites for the Fall of 2017.
I don´t like to go crazy with trends and normally add them by means of accessories to my wardrobe. Like with my red handbag (which btw was a huge bargain and if you follow me on Instagram you would of seen the unboxing of it on my IG Stories and how I got it on sale for 50% less); a pair of tassel earrings; maybe a pair of glitter boots (I mean why not?!); a new black wide belt to wear with one of my timeless coats I already have in my wardrobe; a tulle mid-length skirt (in blush pink or black…) to wear with my white Victorian styled blouse that I bought last winter; then I´ll wear my summer boho floral style dress with my leather jacket, ankle boots for the vintage floral print look; and then I might invest in fur gloves or a fur scrarf to add texture to some of my outfits because I already have a blush pink fur vest that I bought last winter which I see myself pairing with black leggings and boots (perhaps black glitter boots would work well here too…).
Ok so let´s dig into the trends for this fall…
The Colour Red
Yes RED, the colour red is big this Fall. Top to toe, and if you´re not that brave you can choose to wear red accessories, like my new Red Guess Handbag. I actually do love the colour red but I´m not sure if I would be able to pull it off top to toe… Here are a few of my other favourite red handbags. BTW the red Guess Kamryn Extra-Large Tote is on sale at Macy´s for $58.80 (it was $98)!
Vintage Fur
Fake fur is in like last season but this time with no frills or fuss – a streamlined Vintage look. I think this might be more my style.
Glitter Boots
No ways! I´m not sure what I think of this trend but I can see myself buying a pair (black or gold) before long…
Cowboy Inspired Looks
I kinda like this look as it´s easy to throw together. We all have some kind of cowboy looking boots and skirt already in our wardrobes, don´t we?! Or is it just me? Now we just need a cowboy hat! Hee Haw!
70´s Plaid
The 90´s plaid is so last season and has made room for the bright plaids of the 70´s this Fall. Now what shall I do with the plaid scarfs and shirts I bought last winter..?
Victorian Collars
Victorian Collars are all the rage this fall. Truth be told I bought a white one last winter and didn´t get much wear out of it so I´m defiitely going to make sure I wear it this fall.
Tassels
I´ve been eyeing a pair o tassel earrings for the longest time and now I can finally buy them and feel trendy 🙂 🙂
Leisure Track Suits
I don´t even want to go here. This reminds me of tracksuits my dad use to wear. Remember the type with the 2 white lines on the side? Uh! No thanks.
Broad Shoulders
Does this mean shoulder pads? Nope it means oversized menswear blazers. Apparently there are people that want shoulder pads to come back. I´m not sure how I feel about this…
Vintage Floral Prints
I´ve always liked the boho styke of floral dresses paired with chunky boots so I can totally see myself going for this look. It´s easy to throw together too!
Mid-Length Skirts
I dont think this is my favourite kind of skirt length, I do however like the kind with a tulle overlay with like the images in the widget below…
Chocolate Brown
Now this is a colour I´ve always liked… Brown to me is like black, like white, like cream. A must have in your cupboard because it goes with absolutely (in my opinion) everything! I´ve added a few “delectable” chocolate items to browse in the widget below. My favourite? The brown Clinique lipstick! Yasss please!
Wide Belts
I use to love these in the 80´s and hoped that this trend would come back. I even bought a wide belt last Winter and wore it with my tops and jackets. I´m glad to hear that this is totally in this fall!
Formal Velvet
Velvets are all the rage for evening wear this fall season so if you have a special event, perhaps a wedding that you have been invited to, this is your chance to wear it.
Belted Coats
I´ve always liked jackets that gather with a belt in the middle. So much more figure flattering. I like the idea of adding my own belts to jackets and coats too…
Until next time guys! Much love.

RESOURCES
I often get asked about the equipment I use for my blog or YouTube channel.
The camera I use for my blog photos is the Canon T3i/600D EOS (with the Canon STM 50mm 1.8 lens). I would like to upgrade to the Canon EOS 5D Mark III (however my budget does not allow for it yet) because of its full frame (22MP full frame CMOS) sensor capacity. My current camera has a cropped frame which means I need to stand further away from my subject when I shoot.
Then, I use the Osmos DJI Mobile for my videos/vlogs. I love the Osmo Mobile because you control it via an app on any Android or IOS phone. It seriously has changed the way my travel videos look! Some of its features are Active Track technology which automatically keeps your smart phone facing you as you move and smooths and even cancels out the movements you make, stopping camera shake and turning every shot into a cinematic video!
We very recently added the GoPro HERO5 and the Accessories Starter Kit to our collection and can´t wait to test it out! Watch this space.
Here is a photo of me using the Osmo Mobile

I’m not sure I can pull off the red handbag and glitter boots look, but perhaps I could go with a more neutral colored handbag? Haha! Just kidding. But I will share this post with Laura as I’m sure she’ll love the fashion tips. 🙂
HAHAHA! Neutral sounds good David 🙂 Happy weekend friend!
