Mini Pastel Easter Cakes

I think by now you guys have realised I adore Easter, along with Xmas it´s my favourite holiday.. I love celebrating the time with special family and friends but also to remember how fortunate I am.. I have so many reasons to say THANK YOU!! There´s a song by Hillsong (a very popular Australian Christian group) that I love to listen to during this precious time called SOVEREIGN HANDS.. I always get goose bumps when I listen to it (scenes from “The Passion of the Christ” movie so not for sensitive viewers but you can always just close your eyes and listen to the lyrics).. if you´d like to see/hear it, click here in YouTube 🙂

Creo que ya se habrán dado cuenta de que adoro La Pascua, junto con la Navidad es mi fiesta favorita .. Me encanta celebrar el tiempo con los amigos especiales y la familia, pero también para recordar lo afortunada que soy .. Tengo tantas razones para decir GRACIAS! Hay una canción de Hillsong (un grupo cristiano australiano muy popular) que me encanta escuchar durante este tiempo precioso llamado MANOS SOBERANAS .. siempre se me pone la piel de gallina cuando la escucho (escenas de “La Pasión de Cristo” película no recomendada para espectadores sensibles, pero siempre se puede simplemente cerrar los ojos y escuchar las letras)..si quieren verlo hagan clic aquí en YouTube

For this post I would like to introduce to you 5 mini pastel layer cakes.. all frosted in different pastel colours and decorated differently.. I can just imagine them on a Easter dessert table.. how cute would that be.. I´m obsessed with pastels these days!!

Para este post me gustaría presentarles a 5 mini tartas con diferentes capas .. todo satinado en diferentes colores pasteles y decorado de forma diferente .. sólo puedo imaginarlo en una mesa de postres en Pascuas .. qué lindo sería esto .. Yo estoy obsesionada con las tartas en estos días!

In my last post I show you how to make these cute mini easter egg wreaths, this time I used it to decorate with and the result is so cute! I just love it!

En mi último post les mostré cómo hacer estas mini guirnaldas de huevo de pascua lindas, esta vez las usé para decorar con un resultado tan lindo! Me encanta!

Not only were these decorated in pastels on the outside but on the inside too.. I baked 4 different pastel coloured sheet cakes (in turquoise, peach, yellow & salmon) and used a cookie cutter to cut out the circles for each layer.  This way you can make quite a few mini cakes at the same time. The cakes were vanilla flavoured as was the frosting/buttercream I used on the outside.. For the filling I used a delicious combination which I absolutely love.. I´m going to share it with you guys very soon in a new blog post 😉 I will say that the filling is what made these cakes delicious 🙂

No sólo fueron estas decoradas en tonos pastel en el exterior pero en el interior también .. Horneé 4 tartas diferentes de color pastel (en turquesa, melocotón, amarillo y salmón) y utilicé un cortador de galletas para cortar los círculos para cada capa. De esta manera usted puede hacer un buen número de mini tartas al mismo tiempo. Las tartas fueron de vainilla así como el frosting / buttercream que utilicé en el exterior .. Para el relleno utilicé una deliciosa combinación que me encanta .. La compartiré con ustedes muy pronto en una nueva entrada en el blog; -) me gustaría decir que el relleno es lo que hizo que estas tartas estuviesen deliciosas 🙂

The pastel blue cake was a gift for a friend who recently had a baby, I used the Easter theme to symbolize three baby birds (made of light blue speckled mini eggs, orange fondant for their beaks and an edible black marker for their eyes) waiting in their chocolate nest for their mamma to bring them foodies.. adorable is all I can say..

La tarta azul fue un regalo para una amiga que recientemente tuvo un bebé, he usado el tema de Pascua para simbolizar tres pajaritos (hechos de mini huevos moteados de color celeste, la pasta de azúcar de naranja para el pico y un marcador negro comestible para los ojos) en espera en su nido de chocolate para su mamá para traerles comidita .. adorable es todo lo que puedo decir ..
