How to shop for clothes without breaking the bank!
Before I make a clothes shopping trip, I save pins on Pinterest and looks that I like on Instagram, and then I make a list of the items I want to buy from them. This has made clothes shopping so much easier and I have saved a TON of money this way!
On my recent trip to Madrid I went to the massive Primark in Gran Via. This was my 3rd time shopping there and this time I made sure I was much more prepared. The previous times I was flustered and overwhelmed by all the choice and massive amounts of people. This Primark in Madris is big. Really, really big!
I went armed with the list of items I wanted. Although it was of different brands and not just Primark, I knew what I was looking for and what colours I preferred. I also had a budget.
I chose my items and colours according to the season, trends, pieces I already had in my wardrobe (for that particular season), my budget, and how many looks I could create from the looks on my list. I knew if I bought too many different colours, there was no guarantee that the pieces would go well together. That´s why planning ahead was so important.
Key points to remember!
- Save looks that you like on Pinterest & Instagram.
- Decide on a budget.
- Choose items from these looks to add to your existing wardrobe and / or to create new looks.
- Choose colours that match across the board.
- Have fun. Remember clothes shopping should be fun!
